Ortom laments infrastructural decay under APC Govt

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom at the weekend lamented over the continued sufferings and hardship Nigerians are going through under the APC-led administration of President Mohammadu Buhari.
The governor particularly, frowned at the complete collapse of the security architecture and federal government’s infrastructure across the country especially in Benue state.
Governor Ortom spoke in Katsina-Ala and Ukum local government areas during the commissioning of multi-million projects initiated by his administration.
The projects commissioned include; the Zaki-Biam-Afia-Gbeji road in Ukum local government area; the Katsina-Ala Township Universal Basic Education Commission, UBEC/State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB 2018 Intervention Project as well as the Mbaton-Amaafu electricity project in Katsina-Ala among many others.
Ortom lamented over the dilapidated Makurdi-Gboko and Gboko-Ugbema-Katsina-Ala federal roads which have been neglected over the years.
He said, “it took me three hours from Makurdi to Katsina-Ala and this is a federal road. We cannot continue to suffer like this, Nigerians are suffering under the failed government of APC.
“The security architecture of this country has failed completely, nothing is going on. If they said they are fighting corruption when they go out there they arrest people who have stolen chicken and those who have stolen billions of naira are allowed to go scot-free, that’s not how to fight corruption.
He announced the resolve of his administration to grant amnesty to wanted criminals in the senatorial district but with a caveat that they must surrender their weapons.
The governor said those who would decline what he called the “last opportunity” would be hunted by security forces and made to face the full weight of the law.
