Victor Osimhen cut a relaxed and cheerful figure on Tuesday evening as the Super Eagles returned to training, easing concerns over his relationship with teammates following recent on-field tension.
Videos and photos from the session showed the striker fully engaged with the squad, laughing, exchanging jokes and interacting freely with fellow players at the training ground.
The light-hearted atmosphere suggested any issues within the camp had been addressed, with Osimhen fitting comfortably back into the group.
This positive development comes less than 24 hours after Nigeria’s 4–0 win over Mozambique at the Africa Cup of Nations sparked widespread debate over Osimhen’s conduct during the match.
His show of frustration and confrontation with teammate Ademola Lookman had drawn significant attention across headlines and social media.
However, Tuesday’s training told a different story, as Osimhen appeared composed, focused and in good spirits while preparations continued ahead of the quarter-final encounter.
The Super Eagles will take on Angola on Saturday as they continue their quest for a first AFCON title since 2013.
The apparent return of harmony within the camp will be a welcome boost for the coaching staff and supporters, who will be hoping the unity off the pitch reflects in another strong performance on matchday.
