Governor of Osun State, Adegboyega Oyetola, has refused to congratulate the candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), senator Ademola Adeleke, who defeated him in last Saturday’s governorship election held in the State.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary yesterday, Ismail Omipidan, Governor Oyetola, who was the candidate of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) and the incumbent Governor of the State, urged his followers to remain calm rather, as he said he is consulting with party stakeholders on the next steps to take after his defeat.

He said having taken cognizance of the results announced by INEC Sunday morning, the APC will be responding appropriately after studying the results and making wider consultation.
