Ahead of the Osun State governorship election slated for next Saturday, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, 2023 party Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar and governors will tomorrow storm Osogbo for the mega rally.
PDP candidate for the July 16 governorship election is Senator Ademola Adeleke.
The Chairman PDP governors forum, Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, Chairman PDP Osun Governorship Campaign Council, Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri and his Edo State counterpart, Godwin Obaseki are already in Osun State.
Also in Osogbo is Atiku’s running mate, Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa and immediate past president of the Senate, Bukola Saraki.
Ayu, in a statement on Wednesday disclosed that, aside from Atiku and himself, other PDP heavy-weights who will grace tomorrow’s mega-rally in support of Adeleke are serving governors on the party’s platform, plus party elders like Ex-Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola.
PDP National Chairman charged all stakeholders in Osun State, party faithful and residents to come out en mass to grace the rally.
“I charge every lover of democracy and good governance to come out and identify with the PDP candidate, Sen. Ademola. He is the face of positive change,” Ayu added.
