Over 1000 ASUU members protests over encroachment of ABU land by KDSG

Over one thousand members of the Academic Staff Union University (ASUU) Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria Branch yesterday stormed the College of Agriculture and Animal Science Mando, Kaduna for a peaceful protest over the encroachment of the land of the College.

Speaking to Journalists during the protest at the gate of the college in Mando, the Chairperson of the Union, Comrade Haruna Muhammad Jibrin urged ABU to institute another legal action on Government of Kaduna State.

He also demanded that Governor Nasiru Ahmed Elrufai should pay compensation for the destruction of the wall of the college, trees, distortion of flora and fauna and the entire environment.

Comrade Jibrin also advised Senate of Ahmadu Bello University to withdraw the degree certificates awarded to Governor Nasir Ahmed Elrufai as his many actions are in contravention of the requirements in character and learning deemed worthy of an ABU degree.
