0ver 2000 persons at the weekend benefited from medical treatment carried out by the Mutual Union of the Tiv in America (MUTA) in Gboko local government area of Benue State
The health fair which lasted for two (2) days was held at St. John’s Secondary School, Gboko.
Health Committee Chairman MUTA Dr. Orduen Abunku said the union carried out the program in collaboration with the Catholic Diocese of Gboko and Global Health and Development Initiative who are being sponsored by Red Aide Nigeria.
He said the intention of the union is to support the existing health structures in the state for improved services.
Dr Abunku also said most common illnesses diagnosed were eye problems, noting that 1 to 8 patients were discovered with eye issues.
He said eyes challenges discovered ranged from eye sight, inching, pains etc.
