No fewer than 700 people dumped People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and defected to ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in Gumel Local Government Area of Jigawa State.
The decampees announced their defection formally before the APC leadership and other party chieftains from Gumel, Gagarawa, Ringing, Sule Tankarkar and Garki locl governments.
Speaking on behalf of 700 decampees, the youths leader in the area, comrade Hamisu Bekarya said, himself and other hundreds of youths who came from PDP and other political parties decided to join APC and give their contribution towards nation building.
“We decided to dumped our political parties PDP, SDP and join All Progressive Congress (APC) to contribute our quota toward nation building as only APC gives more chances to youths at both local, state and federal government level”, he said.
The decampees described governor Muhammad Abubakar Badaru as best among all past Jigawa governors that give chances to youths in their administration.
