The Ozoro Police division detectives in Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, yesterday arrested six transformer vandals, and recovered stolen items from them, during a routine patrol in the area.
It was gathered that the police detectives’ on routine patrol in the early hours, was informed by a tip-off that some vandals were operating in the Okeligho Street along NDDC road, Ozoro, Urato community respectively.
Our correspondent reports that Divisional Police Officer in charge of the Division (DPO), Douye Kpokpo, who confirmed the arrest of the suspects.
“My men of the detective unit on a routine patrol in the early hours arrested six suspected transformer vandals, they have been terrorizing Ozoro metropolis, every day there is hue and cry of transformers vandalized.
“And it was upon interrogation that the suspects confessed to the crime, but we are still investigating others not yet arrested,” the Police boss stated.
