PDP candidate challenges Senate Deputy Whip to debate

Edo North Senatorial Candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 polls, Abubakar Momoh has challenged the Senate Deputy Whip, Senator Alimikhena to a debate if he will be disgraced.
He urged the incumbent Senator representing the area in the National Assembly to demonstrate to his constituents how well he represented them to warrant his re-election.
Abubakar Momoh’s Head of Media campaign organization, Mr. Ogbode Izuagbe in a statement in response to the vile press criticisms by the Director General of Senator Francis Alimikhena Campaign Organization, Mr. Lucky James against his principal.
The Senate Deputy Whip had in a previous statement, asked Abubakar Momoh to resign from politics.
Mr. Ogbode Izuagbe, described the appointment of Lucky James as his Director General of his Campaign organization as a sad reminder of how Alimikhena who is of Etsako ethnic had alienated Akoko-Edo and Owan ethnic groups through his nepotic actions in the past three years in the upper Chamber in the National Assembly.
He dismissed the call for his withdrawal from the election by Alimikhena’s campaign organization as unfortunate and advised the group’s DG to purge himself of moral and integrity burden.
“Probably, Mr. Lucky James has quickly forgotten that the then Edo State House of Assembly has to drop him as a commissioner nominee based on his antecedent on morality and integrity background.
“The appointment of Mr. Lucky James, an Etsako person to manage the campaign of Etsako born for a senatorial race is to say the least, the level of parochial and nepotic which is the hallmark of senator Alimikhena.
“No wonder the Akoko-Edo and Owan axis of the district felt alienated from the scheme of things”.
Mr. Izuagbe insisted that Abubakar Momoh’s pedigree and achievements as two-term member of the National Assembly were visible for all”.
