A faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Jigawa State has approached the court o cancel the recent local government and state congress elections held by the party in the state.
The appeal was made by the faction identified as committee of ensuring Justice and previledges headed by Alhaji Abba Anas Adamu.
The leader of the faction, said that their faction seeks justice and fair hearing from the court, alleging that the party’s guidelines and constitution were not followed during the elections.
Adamu claimed that the elections were marred by irregularities, with local government elections conducted in private homes and state elections being mere appointments.
He accused the party leadership of being under one-man control, denying other members equal rights and treatment.
