A group, suspected to be political thugs, last Sunday, kidnapped a Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, aspirant, Mr. Chris Mamman, at the Aren Eggon’s palace, Nasarawa Eggon, headquarters of Nasarawa Eggon local government area.

The Director-General of Chris Mamma’s Campaign Organisation, Mr. Nawani Aboki Ezekiel, revealed this yesterday to newsmen at the campaign office in Lafia, the state capital.

According to him, “The mob, who was waiting for his (Chris Mamman) arrival quickly lynched him when they saw him. All attempts to stop the mob failed. He was, however, later rescued and brought home, but some unknown persons came in and abducted him at about 9:00pm.”

He emphasized that some supporters who were at the scene of the event tried to rescue him from the hands of the attackers, but his car was burnt down.

“The last time we spoke with him was at about 8: 00 pm last Sunday, shortly after that conversation his line ceased to go through. As we speak now, we don’t know where he is,” the Director General complained.

The DG alleged that some key individuals are suspected to be behind the mischievous act, as he was scheduled to meet some gubernatorial aspirants at the Aren Eggon’s palace to settle their political differences.
