Member representing Chanchaga federal constituency at the national assembly under the platform of People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Malam Abubakar Audu Buba has flagged off the distribution of food items as palliatives promised by the federal government.
The lawmaker during the distribution in Minna Niger state capital, said he has received 1,700 bags of 25kg as the first batch of the distribution meant for Chanchaga federal constituency while other items are being expected.
He emphasized that it would be distributed to the 379 polling units for every residents devoid of political affiliation through ward committees to ensure the right people benefited from the relief to cushion the effect of hunger and economic hardship faced by the citizens.
Audu Buba noted that it’s a fulfilment of pledge made by president Ahmed Bola Tinubu in October last year, adding that other groups considered as beneficiaries to include; the people leaving with disabilities like the blinds, the old, disabled and most vulnerable.
The federal legislature assured of all inclusiveness in the distribution processes for fairness and equity, saying that the government of president Ahmed Bola Tinubu is doing everything possible to end the current hardship experienced by Nigerians.
