The Peoples Democratic party (PDP) Deputy Governorship candidate in the 2023 election, Hon Yahaya Ohinoyi Usman, has assured the people of the state that their government would return local government administration to the grassroots immediately after assuming office.
Ohinoti who gave this assurance while interacting with Women and Youths elected officials of his party in Akwanga, said this would bring back development to the people.
According to him, the stripping of the local government property, resources and funds by the APC government, has subjected the people to a life of poverty.
He said: “This must not be allowed to continue for another second term under AA Sule. Our people certainly do not deserve their current pains and shame.
“There are many of you seated here who conduct your daily activities at the local government level and will prefer that governments at the state and federal levels allow your businesses and trade to operate effectively at the grassroots.
“I want to promise you, my fellow compatriots, that as Governor of Nasarawa State, by the special grace of the Almighty God, we are going to return local government administration back to the local governments.”
