PDP pool of aspirants worries Ortom

Date:

From: Uche Nnorom, Makurdi

Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom has expressed concern over the large number of aspirants in the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, clamoring to succeed him in 2023.

It would be noted that over 30 aspirants are jostling to emerge as the flag bearer of the party for the Governorship seat in 2023 election.

Governor Ortom at an extraordinary meeting of the Party held at the Government House, Makurdi, yesterday maintained strongly that all the aspirants are competent to take over and even do better than him.

He however, feels that there may be need to prune the number, even as he cautioned against selfishness, stressing that what is required now is collective responsibility.
