PDP ready to reclaim Kaduna in 2027, says State Chair, Masha

The Kaduna State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Edward Percy Masha, has stated that the party has the capacity, structure, and strategy to win the 2027 general elections in the state despite current challenges.
Chief Masha made this statement on Tuesday during a stakeholders’ meeting of the PDP Zone 3 held in Kafanchan.
He dismissed claims that there is no strong opposition in Kaduna State, insisting that the PDP remains resilient and well-positioned to provide credible leadership.
The state chairman called on party members to stay steadfast, united, and loyal to the PDP, assuring them that the leadership is committed to fairness, transparency, and the collective interest of members.
“Every decision being taken is aimed at strengthening the PDP ahead of the 2027 elections,” he said.
Chief Masha also criticized the current state administration for what he described as its failure to address the critical needs of the people.
Earlier in the meeting, the Zonal Chairman of the PDP, Hon. Akuso Danjuma, said the gathering was convened to introduce the party’s deputy governorship candidate, Quantity Surveyor Amos Adamu Gandu, congratulate him on his emergence, and update members on developments surrounding the Zangon Kataf/Jaba Federal Constituency ticket.
“The aim is to clear the air, present the proper solutions, and chart the way forward on the issues,” he explained.
In his remarks, Amos Adamu Gandu thanked party leaders and members for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to justify that trust.
He said the PDP governorship candidate, Hon. Usman Shehu Bawa, understands the challenges facing Kaduna State and has what it takes to overcome them when elected.
He urged members to remain united and committed to the party’s vision, assuring them that the PDP would provide purposeful leadership and restore the confidence of the people if elected in 2027.
Other party leaders at the meeting, including Ambassador Nuhu Bajoga, Hon. Lawrencia Mallam, and Hon. Felix Hassan Hyat, urged members to remain patient, united, and committed to the party’s ideals as preparations for the 2027 elections gain momentum.
Speaking on behalf of PDP candidates contesting elective positions, former lawmaker Hon. Gideon Lukas Gwani reaffirmed their commitment to the party and pledged to work with all stakeholders to ensure victory at the polls.
The meeting gathered party executives, stakeholders, elected officials, and supporters from across Zone 3, all of whom reaffirmed their dedication to strengthening the PDP ahead of the 2027 general elections.
