National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Ahmadu Adamu Mu’azu, has said the party would not tolerate any arrogance from its members ahead of 2015 general elections.
Mu’azu, while receiving the Akwa-Ibom state PDP executive who came to present to him the communiqué of its meeting held in Uyo, said the members would not tolerate those who are not focused.
The party’s chairman said he would not be deterred by criticisms coming from his detractors insisting that his goal is to ensure that his party wins the 2015 elections decisively.
He said, “I have told the President that whoever do not remain focused and have no cool nerve cannot belong to this party (PDP). Those who want to abuse me should do so, one day, it will be over.”
He commended the delegation for forwarding its communiqué to the party promising to look at the document. He also pledged to give Akwa-Ibom PDP executive all the support in line with the constitution of the party.
The PDP boss urged them to remain calm, patient and committed for the sake of the party saying “all the problem we are having is because we are the only party that has deepened democracy”
“At the end of party primaries, whoever emerges winner should be supported, differences in large family like ours are bound” Mu’azu added.
Earlier, Akwa Ibom state chairman of the party, Obong Paul Ekpo, said they have passed a vote of confidence on the National Chairman and members of the National Working Committee (NWC).
