Football Legend Pele is said to have been admitted to the Albert Einstein hospital in Sao Paulo over complaints of Stomach pains.
The development saw the 74-year old cancelling his appearance at an event in his museum to undergo what has been termed a “medical evaluation”
The Albert Einstein hospital in Sao Paulo did not disclose why Pele was admitted, saying in a statement on Wednesday evening that he will “undergo exams.”
Reports monitored from the local media in Brazil claim Pele’s case is not in any way serious and should be back on his feet soonest.
It was not clear if Pele would remain in hospital. No other details were immediately available.
Pele it will be recalled was scheduled to be at the grand opening of the Akwa Ibom Stadium last week but was conspicuously missing.
