Pen Resource Academy Gombe has emerged the overall winner at the 2017 National Information Technology WHIZKIDS competition in Abuja.
Zonal coordinator Nigeria Computer Society Gambo Abdullahi made the confirmation yesterday in Gombe while presenting prize award to the winner.
He called on school authority to do as much as possible to give students quality teaching to enable them put more effort in their studies.
According to him, Pen Resource Academy has made Gombe proud for coming first position among schools that participated at the 2017 National Information Technology WHIZKIDS competition.
Speaking earlier, Principal of the school Dr. Stanley Maikano said they will everything it takes to ensure that credibility of the students is sustain.
He advice the students to put more effort in their academic pursue and to relent in working hard in order to achieve their goal.
He thank the organizers of the competition for taking a wise decision which according to him, did not only boost the morale of the competitors but equally found talent among students.
While commending the effort made by the organizers, commissioner for Higher education in Gombe state Dr. Isa Wade appreciated the gesture and urged the students to do more.
