The Kano State Pensioners Forum has warned politicians against using pensioners’ plight to promote their political target in their electioneering campaign.
A statement signed by the leader of the forum, Ado Ibrahim DY, described recent comments by PDP gubernatorial aspirant Abba K Yusif as politically mischievous.
The Forum traced the history of Pensioners flight started under Kwankwaso administration when over Four billion Naira from the Pension Trust Fund was misused for political gain.
Ado Ibrahim DY said Kano pensioners will for ever not forget and forgive what kwankwaso administration did to their Trust Fund that caused their hardships that will take time before normal reactivation.
The Forum adviced politicians against misguiding the public on Kano pension scheme as Pensioners are aware of those that are responsible for their flight, adding the Forum is now ready to Campaign against such politicians in the coming elections.
