The police, on Wednesday, arraigned a 32-year-old man, Kolawole Orimolade, in an Akure Chief Magistrates’ Court for conspiracy and theft.
The prosecutor, ASP Ayodele Atandeyi, alleged that the accused and others, now at large, broke into the apartment of one Mrs. Eyeyemi Justinah and stole her N150, 000.
He told the court that they committed the offence at the apartment at Danjuma Street, Akure, at about 6 p.m. on May 16. He said that the offence contravened Sections 516 and 390 (9) of the Criminal Code Cap 37, Vol. 1, Laws of Ondo State of Nigeria, 2006.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge. The Chief Magistrate, Mrs. Charity Adeyanju, granted him bail in the sum of N200, 000 with two sureties in like sum. Adeyanju adjourned the case until August 27. (NAN)
