The Ogun State Police command has revealed that it has arrested 1,227 suspects for various crimes across the state within the last six months.
The Command also disclosed that among the suspects arrested, 157 were arrested in connection with armed robbery while others were arrested for cultism, murder, stealing, fraud among others.
The Command image maker, Muyiwa Adejobi, who stated this yesterday, while giving the stewardship of the command between January and June, 2014, explained that the command had been able to arrest 26 suspected rapists, 57 cultists and killed 24 robbers within the period.
He also said, the command had recovered 90 arms and 390 ammunitions, adding that 87 vehicles were recovered within the period under the review.
The PPRO however, disclosed that the value of property recovered within the period under review was over N77 million.
He added that the command had charged cases numbering about 419 to court and had prosecuted 204 suspects within the last six months.
