The FCT Police Command has arrested one Nuhu Ezra of Gosa Kipikipi village, Lugbe, Abuja, who was caught with a human skull and bones.
Police disclosed that its operatives attached to Iddo police division acting on credible intelligence, trailed and arrested the suspect.
A statement from the Command’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, yesterday, said the suspect, who was found with the body parts upon interrogation, stated that he picked them up from the bush while hunting at Kuje and had the intention to sell the body parts for six hundred thousand naira (N600,000).
It added that FCT commissioner of police, CP Benneth C. Igweh, has ordered that a thorough investigation be conducted to ascertain the bearer of the body parts, the intended buyer, and if the suspect killed anyone to be in possession of the body parts
The statement read in part: “ The operatives of the FCT police command attached to Iddo police division on July 9, 2024, at about 9:00 p.m., acting on credible intelligence, trailed and arrested one Nuhu Ezra ‘m’ of Gosa Kipikipi village, Lugbe, Abuja, with a human skull and bones.
“While the commissioner of police, FCT, CP Benneth C. Igweh, psc, mni, has ordered that a thorough investigation be conducted to ascertain the bearer of the body parts, the intended buyer, if the suspect killed anyone to be in possession of the body parts, and how long the suspect has been in the alleged business.
