Police arrest suspected kidnappers of traditional ruler in Bauchi

Newly posted Bauchi State Commissioner of Police Bauchi State Command, CP Auwal Musa Mohammad has explained that Police has arrested some suspects in connection with the recent kidnapping of two traditional rulers in the state.
The commissioner stated this in Bauchi while answering question from reporters at the end of his first interaction with newsmen in Bauchi.
He said “we have taken so many steps to address the problem of insecurity in the State. We have arrested some suspects in connection with the activities of hoodlooms in the area, and the area is now calm”.
CP Auwal said that the Command will focus on intelligence-led and community-oriented policing towards fighting crime and criminality in the State.
The Commissioner appreciated the media industry in playing vital roles as bridge-builders between the police and the general public.
He said that it’s a distinct call to duty which signifies a great responsibility to protect lives and property in Bauchi state and Nigeria at large.
CP Auwal said it requires collective and individual responsibilities to achieve the general objectives of securing lives and property.
