Police arrest woman for beating, injuring step son in Adamawa

A woman has ended up in police net in Adamawa state for assaulting her step son due to family tussle.
Report had it that the woman(name withheld) engaged her step son physically in Yola after a serious disagreement on over a family matter.
The assault caused injuries on the body of her step son now on admission.
Confirming the incident, spokesman of the command, SP Othman Abubakar who confirmed the incident Sunday to news men said the woman had been arrested and the matter transferred to CID for investigation.
“All I can tell you for now is that the woman has been arrested and the matter has been transferred to the CID for further investigation and later prosecution,” Abubakar said.
Abubakar who did not give the name of the woman or the age of the step son said that the step son has been admitted in hospital.
There was rife speculation in town that some highly placed politicians have been trying to seek the released of a woman arrested by the Doubeli Police station in Jimeta area of Yola for battering her step son.
