The Badarawa community in kaduna North local Government Area of kaduna State was thrown into a state of confusion and pandemonium as hundreds of the criminal gang Sara Suka laid siege on the area stabbing six people and injuring others.
The gang members who are mostly youth were in a procession from Muritala Square the venue of the Centenary Durban celebration, carrying dangerous weapons.
They later marched to katuru Road and attacked residents.
Among the victims are traders and commuters who were, stabbed and their mobile phones and monies were seized The Police Public Relations Officer of kaduna Command ASP Aliyu Mukhtar said some of the gang members were arrested by the police following a distress call from a resident of the area.
He said efforts are on to nab the feeling members of the gang.
One of the arrested youth said they were coming from the venue of the centenary Durbar celebrating 100 years since the creation of Kaduna state which took place at the Murtala Square Kaduna.
