Twelve Police officers from Kano State Police Command, who have benefitted from the recent promotion of 414 officers conducted by the Police Service Commission have been decorated.
The command’s Public Relations Officer, Magaji Musa Majiya was among the newly-promoted officers, and was elevated to the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP).
Speaking at the event, held at the Police Officers Mess yesterday, the state’s Commissioner of Police, Rabi’u Yusuf, said the officers were promoted out of the magnanimity of the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim K. Idris.

While congratulating the officers, the CP also urged them to be more dedicated in the commitments to keep Kano peaceful.
“I congratulate the beneficiaries. This show they are well committed and dedicated to their duty. They should use this opportunity for the betterment of Kano and Nigeria as a whole, “ the CP said.
Speaking, the PPRO, Majiya expressed gratitude to God over the promotion, adding that he would use the opportunity to redouble his commitments to his duty.
The 12 promoted officers include 1 Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), 1 Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), 2 Superintendent of Police (SP) and 4 Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP).
