In a renewed effort to combat banditry and violent crime, the Kaduna State Police Command conducted a major clearance operation from 10th to 13th February 2026, targeting identified bandits camps and criminal hideouts across Kajuru, Tafa, Igabi, and Kauru Local Government Areas of Kaduna State.
During the operation, several bandits camps were dislodged, and many of the criminals were neutralized in fierce exchange of fire.
Also, suspected bandits informants and drug suppliers linked to criminal networks were also apprehended.
The operation led to the recovery of three AK-47 rifles, seven fabricated firearms, one pistol, and a large quantity of hard drugs.
“A total of seventeen suspected notorious bandits were arrested, some with bullet wounds, and hard drug suppliers were among those taken into custody.
“The arrested suspects are:
Ahamdu Bala, Abdullahi Alh. Fulani, Ado Bayero Reku, Samaila Bala, Nasiru Rabiu Ibrahim Bello and Jafar Adamu.
“Others arrested include; Nura Abdullahi and Adamu Alh. Raini, Adamu, Haruna Ado Babwuro, Shuaibu Sa’idu, Isiya Bammi alias Kire, Kabiru Adamu, Habibu Rabiu, Suleiman Adam and Abubakar Idris.”
