The Adamawa state Police Command in collaboration with the hunters group have dislodged a criminal hideout neutralising one suspected kidnapper at Gola hill in Song Local Government Area.

Spokesman of the command, DSP Suleiman Nguroje made the disclosure in a press statement issued in Yola, Tuesday, indicating that operatives attached to Song Police Divisional headquarters with the support of local hunters acting on a tip-off stumbled on the suspected criminal hide out.

Nguroje stated that the joint operation yielded successful outcome by rescuing two kidnapped victims alive and neutralising one of the kidnappers as others escaped with bullet wounds.

Nguroje said one double barrel gun,handsets,chains, pard-locks and charms were recovered from the fleeing suspected kidnappers.

“The suspected kidnappers upon sighting our men engaged them in a gun dwell as a result, one of them was neutralised, others escaped with bullet wounds while Sani Abdullahi, 41yrs and Umar Dantella, 27yrs of Gombi local government were rescued unharmed.

“Therefore CP. Sikiru Akande calls on the populace to always inform the police of the whereabouts of criminals and their hideouts,especially those on the run with bullet wounds”.
