Police kill two robbers in Edo

Two suspected armed robbers met their Waterloo on Monday in Benin during a shootout with police operatives.
The hoodlums were killed in a gun battle during a robbery operation near in Ekehuan Community near Asoro hill in Benin.
A member of the robbery gang simply identified as Junior, was said to have escaped.
The Spokesman of Nigeria police, Edo State Command, DSP Chidi Nwanbuzor who confirmed the report, said the robbers were killed in a robbery operation.
Nwanbuzor, alleged that the police operatives responded to a distress call by a Nigerian on Monday morning.
“Yes two armed robbers were killed and we recovered their guns and admonitions.
“There was distress call and the police responded and met them in the act. So when they saw the police, they started firing at the police and the police responded and they were gun down, he said.
He also called on members of the public to continue to collaborate with the police in the bid to rid the state of crime and criminality”.
