The Gombe state Police Command has strategies a plan towards enhancing effective policing within Gombe and it’s environs.
Commissioner of Police in Gombe state CP Bello Yahaya made this known on Thursday in Gombe during a community outreach stakeholders town-hall meeting to commemorate National Police Day 2025.
He said following the directive given by the Inspector-General of Police IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun who directed Police Command headquarters nation wide to commemorate National Police Day on 3rd April 2025, Gombe state Police command through the directive have key into fostering a deeper public participation for effective service delivery.
CP Yahaya while assuring the Police readiness in the state said the Command will continue to do it best to protect lives and property of citizens.
According to him, “we will also want members of the public to support the Police with useful information in their various communities inorder to combat crime in the society.”
In his remarks, the chairman of the occasion, CP Muhammad Wakili (Rtd) while appealing to the public said security matter is everybody business that needed an attention urging them not to relent in putting out their best to fight against insecurity.
He said the communities have a role to play by ensuring that they report any suspicious movement to the Police within their domain.
