Police nab 12 illegal drug peddlers in Jigawa

No fewer than twelve users of illegal drugs and sellers of Indian hemp have been arrested by the Police in Jigawa state.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, SP Abdul Jinjiri confirmed the arrest while speaking to our reporter yesterday in Dutse.
He explained that, the suspects were arrested for allegedly using and selling the illegal drugs and Indian hemp at ‘Yantifa area of Dutse the state capital.
He said after investigation, seven of the suspects were found not guilty of committing the crime and they were released.
SP Jinjiiri maintained that, the remaining suspects will be handed over to relevant agencies for more investigation and legal action.
The Police spokesperson reinstated the Police commitment to continue fighting crimes across the 27 local government areas in the state.
He also urged the people in the state to corporate with the security agencies to ensure the protection of lives and properties in the state.
