Police nab 2 for kidnapping, killing of 6 year in Adamawa

Two young men were arrested for kidnapping and killing of a 6 year old girl in Adamawa state.
Spokesman of the command,SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje dropped the hint in a press statement issued in Yola Friday, indicating that, the Command, on 08/05/2024 received a report from one Edwin Eze, a resident of Tudun Wada in Ganye LGA about the evasion and subsequent abduction of his 6year old boy by some intruders in his apartment.
According to the statement, the criminal suspects forced their way in to his compound in the wee hours of Wednesday and kidnapped his son, demanding for N10,000,000 as ransom to secure his release.
SP Nguroje explained that the gang demanded and collected another N152,000,00 for feeding their victim in custody while waiting for the ransom but unfortunately killed the innocent minor out of desperation and anxiety.
“On the 8/05/24 at about 1:00am kidnappers invaded his House situated at Tudun Wada village, Ganye LGA and kidnapped his 6 year old Son Eboka, Edwin to unknown destination.
“The kidnappers later called via GSM and demanded Ten Million Naira (N10,000,000) as ransom and equally demanded and received N152, 000 from the Complainant for the victim’s feeding fee.
“On the strength of that,Police detectives led by SP Mohammed Yahaya Nuhu,the (DPO) Ganye swung in to action to rescue the victim and arrest the Suspects.
“Subsequently the police operatives arrested two Suspects for the crime; Muktar Mohammed, aged 20 years old and Hussein Suleiman, aged , 20 years, all residents of Bashin Village, Yoro local Government Area, Taraba State.
“During preliminary investigations, the suspects confessed that he conspired and jointly kidnapped the victim to a forest lying across the border between Nigeria and Cameroon Republic.
“They added that, they killed the Victim by inflicting severe injuries on him using a knife as he bleeds until he becomes dead.Thereafter, they buried the Corpse in a shallow grave and kept demanding for ransom, until their arrest”.The statement explained.
The police assured the parents of the victim and the public that the suspects would be prosecuted after investigation.
