Benue State Police Command yesterday recovered the decayed corpse of a sergeant’s wife, Mrs. Bridget Ihom who was murdered by unknown gunmen in Zaki Biam, Ukum Local Government Area.
It was gathered that Sgt. Abraham Ihom and his wife were early this year, murdered by unknown gunmen in Zaki Biam during his visit home.
Our source said it took relentless efforts of men of Operation Zenda to arrest some of the killer gang to get to the site were Sgt. Ihom wife was buried. However, the men are yet to recover the corpse of Sgt. Abraham Ihom.
The family of Sgt Ihom were said to be appreciative to the operation headed by SP. Justin Gberindyer and his team as well as Nigerian Police and Governor Samuel Ortom for intensifying the war against criminality in the state.
It could be recalled that the same Operation Zenda led by SP.Justin Gberindyer had few weeks ago uncovered a mass grave in Ushongo local government area and arrested more than 16 ritualists and kidnappers.
