Zamfara State Police Command has succeeded in rescuing 39 kidnapped victims during clearance operation at one of the notorious bandits’ enclave marked as ‘Dabar Magaji’ near Kadanya forest that runs across Kaura Namoda and Maradun local government areas of the state.

Parading the victims at the Police headquarters Gusau on Monday, the CP Ayuba N. Elkana said the achievement was as a result of the ongoing clearance operation by the joint Police and Military personnel in the state.

CP Elkana further stated that, the rescued victims include 8 male 15 female including nursing mothers and 16 children who have been medically treated by the joint Police and State Government’s medical teams, “They will soon be reunited with their families”.

In the same vein, CP Elkana announced the arrest of 3 suspects in connection with the abduction of two persons at Fakon Idi area in Talata Mafara local government area of the State alongside one operational motorcycle in their possession.

“On the 10th of April 2022 in Talata Mafara local government area, Police had received a distress call that unidentified hoodlums suspected to be kidnappers have silently trooped into Fakon Idi area and kidnapped two persons to unknown destination”, Elkana has stated.

Mr Ayuba Elkana, who called on the general public to always consider Police personnel as friends to work with, warned that all questionable movements should be reported for prompt action by the concern authorities.
