As part of effort to reduce poverty among the women, the Baba Azimi Foundation (BAF) with support from Action Aid, trained community women peer group on Village Savings and Loans Association (VSLA) in Jigawa state.
Speaking to journalists, the Action aid programme manager partnership and local right, Kehinde Arowosegbe said, the training is aimed at boosting the capacity of women.
He maintained that, the participants were selected from Aigwan Iro, Diwigi, Rakwata Sale and Ado Commuties of three local governments of Miga, Gwiwa and Kaugama local governments area of the state.
Kehinde added that, the participants equipped with more skills and light on how to save little contribution and support one another to depend on themselves.
The programme manager also urged the participants to mobilize respective women at their community level and stepdown the training for eradication of poverty.
