President Muhammadu Buhari was among dignitaries that graced the wedding of Sadiq Kabiru Gaya, son of Sen. Kabir Gaya in Kano last Saturday.
Sadiq was joined in matrimonial union with his heartthrob, Zahra Abubakar Rabiu in the ancient city if Kano during the weekend.
The occasion that witnessed the turnout of dignitaries had President Buhari attendance represented by the Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya onu.
Speaking on behalf of the President, Dr Onu, enjoined the new couple to learn to live in harmony.
Describing the father of the Groom, Sen. Gaya as a man of honour who had done well for the ruling party, the APC, he further wished the couple a happy married life.
The wedding was conducted by the Imam of the Mosque, Mallam Habibu Ishiaka Rabiu, at the Sheikh Ahmadu Tijjani Mosque Kofar Mata in Kano.
The marriage rites was handled by the Hakimi Shanono who doubles as Ubandoma Kano, Alhaji Abdulrahaman Ibrahim.
Alhaji Abdulrahman enjoined the couple to stay together as Husband and Wife, while praying to God to keep and preserved the families.
The Hakimi also advise the couple to imbibe the principles of oneness, further urging them to respect one another.
He also admonished them to embrace patience and be tolerance of each other.
In his remark, the Groom, who holds a Masters Degree in Maritime Law from Bangor University, United Kingdom, said he was full of joy.
Describing the occassion as a remarkable moment in his life, he thanked God for quitting bachelor hood life at 29.
He said discovering his wife was another good thing that has happened to him and the family.
