President Muhammadu Buhari has felicitated with historian and administrator, Dr Nasir Ibrahim Dantiye on his 70th birthday, saluting the courage, loyalty and dedication of the scholar in pursuing the collective vision of a better Nigeria.
According to a statement made available to newsmen yesterday by his spokesman, Mallam Garba Shehu, the President joined family, friends, professional colleagues and political associates in celebrating the milestone with Dr Dantiye, while commending his dedication to research in the university and active participation in politics to translate brilliant ideas into reality that will improve the livelihood of many Nigerians.
Buhari affirmed that the scholar played a major role in instituting the progressive ideas that attracted the formation of the All Progressives Congress, starting with the Congress for Progressive Change, extoling his unusual virtue of identifying with the opposition party then, despite many uncertainties during elections.
As he turns a septuagenarian, the President prays that the almighty God will grant Dr Dantiye good health, strength and more wisdom to serve the nation.
