Nigeria’s President, Ahmed Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Super Eagles on winning the Bronze medal at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations AFCON 2025 in Morocco
Nigeria defeated Egypt 4-2 on penalties on Saturday after regulation and extra time ended goalless, to win thier 9th bronze medal at the tournament.
President Tinubu in his.message on his social media handles, said the team endured the Semi-final heartbreak to secure the bronze medal and hailed their resilience, declaring that the team made the nation proud
“I congratulate our gallant Super Eagles @NGSuperEagles on their hard-earned bronze medal at AFCON 2025.
“Despite the heartbreak of the semi-final loss to Morocco, our Super Eagles showed resilience, overcame Egypt, and made us proud.
“This bronze medal surely feels good like gold. Congratulations, Nigeria!,” Hé said
