Benue electorates have been advised to support the only female aspirant vying for the governorship seat  of the state Engr. Roseline Ada Chenge to offer effective service.

Special Adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan on Inter-party affairs Sen. Ben Obi who gave this advice during the formal launching of Engr. Ada Chenge’s Divine Foundation for gifted persons held at the weekend in Makurdi, said she possesses the experience and integrity to lead the state.

Sen. Obi also explained why the clamor for the re-election of President Goodluck Jonathan, stating that it is because of his transformation agenda that has witnessed development in various sectors of the nation.

He lauded the initiative of Engr. Chenge in setting up the foundation, noting that such is rare while likening it to the transformation agenda of the President.

The President’s aide urged well meaning Nigerians, especially professionals to be in the vanguard in engaging naturally gifted individuals to achieve their dreams and impact on the society.

Also speaking, Former NAWOJ president Evelyn Onyilo challenged the women to rise up and take their place in the political landscape of the country in 2015, maintaining that President Goodluck Jonathan has provided the platform with the 35% affirmative in elective appointments for women in his cabinet.

Senate President Sen. David Mark represented by his Senior Special Assistant on Liaison, Chief Adakole Elijah said the foundation which seeks to emancipate the downtrodden is a great contribution to human and society development and growth. He also lent his support to the aspiration of Engr. Chenge to govern the state in 2015.

Founder of the nongovernmental organization, Engr. Roseline Ada Chenge explained that the foundation which she started some years ago, aims to empower the gifted individuals in the society who are most times neglected.

She said the foundation identifies naturally talented persons and provides them the avenue to showcase their talent for the benefit of the society.

Engr. Chenge who is the first female Managing Director of the Lower River Basin Authority, called on the Benue people to unite and ensure that a woman emerges governor of the state in 2015.
