Nigerian Pastors under the aegis of United Pastors Initiative for Good Governance (UPIG), have called on the federal government to dig deep, arrest and prosecute killers of Deborah Samuel, a 200 level of Shagari College of Education, Sokoto who was killed over alleged blasphemy of Prophet Muhammed.

In a statement yesterday, signed by its president, Rev James Muya, the men of God condemn in totality the gruesome murder of the student and demanded urgent justice.

“We therefore, call on the Sokoto state security architecture and by extension, the federal government to dig deep, arrest and prosecute all that are involved in the unfortunate incident.

“We commiserate with the deceased immediate family, the good people of Niger state, friends, well wishers as well as Sokoto state where the incident happened.”
