Members of executives of Association of Community Newspaper Publishers of Nigeria (ACPN), have commended Edo state governor, Godwin Obaseki for proscribing Community Development Associations (CDA’s).
The President and the Secretary of the Association, Edo state chapter, Deacon Ralph Okhiria and Mr. Ehichioya Steve Odion, said the rare feat, has engendered peace, security and development in the state.
It said the governor has shown resilience in the governance of the state and exhibited concrete evidence in the past one year he assumed duty as governor of the state.
The statement described “ the curbing of the activities of the outlawed Community Development Association (CDA), has engendered peace, security and rapid development in the state”.
The group also urged the state governor to pay show commitment in the payment of pension arrears and gratuities and ameliorate the sufferings of the govern who gave him their mandate.
