RCCG gives free medical services, materials to less privileged in Abuja

The Redeem Christian Church of God (RCCG) over the weekend at Kuduru L.E.A primary school under the Bwari local government in Abuja gave free medical services and welfare services and materials to less privileged as part of it social responsibility.
Giving out the services through it nongovernmental organization, Community Transformation Empowerment (CTE), the Assistant Pastor of RCCG parish, “The Throne Room” Emmanuel Mulero, said the initiative was part of the church’s corporate social responsibility to the society.
He noted that the church is determined to go extra mile in assisting members of the society by ensuring they have clothes to wear, have access to free medical treatments.
“Looking at the gospel of Jesus Christ, it deals with the spirit, soul and the body, the body is very important and that is why we have come out here with the medical team. We have about 15 doctors, laboratory scientists and pharmacist and we are here to treat people for free.
“Also we have food items, clothing’s and we are going to give them counselling. We are also going to have post-treatments for those people that might have very serious case,” he said.
Also at the event, the CEO of the NGO, Onifeloluwa Olokunde said the reason for the outreach was to touch lives, adding that the outreach encompasses health interventions, menstrual health education, economic strengthening, shelter and protection.
One of the beneficiaries, Chinyere Uchendu thanked the church for giving her medicines after receiving consultation.
“I have benefited a lot, they gave me prayer book, they attended to me and they gave me drugs. I was not feeling too fine. They did test on me and they have given me drugs and they tell me on how to take care of my health.”
Another beneficiary, Halimah thanked the organisers for remembering the community “as not everyone can afford to go to the hospital.
