A serving Senator representing Zamfara West Senatorial district, Lawal Hassan Dan’Iya, has declared unreserved support for former Governor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar to contest his position as Senator from the zone for the forthcoming 2023 general elections in the state.
Senator Dan’Iya who made the declaration at a meeting with his teeming youths supporters from his constituency yesterday in Gusau, the state capital, said the meeting was organized with a view to plead for them to equally consider and support Abdulaziz Yari as a candidate vying for the position of Senator come 2023 on the platform of APC.
The Senator said he found it necessary to register his support for the former Governor Yari to replace him at the house of Senate for the perfect understanding and lasting peace to be restored in the ruling APC.
“The forces that always give confidence to the teeming party members which engaged into political disputes, have now reconciled and agreed to continue moving the party forward, and this is a clear indication that the ruling APC will sweep polls in 2023 general elections.”
