The Hilaquzzikri Association of Nigeria Bauchi state branch has presented a prestigious award to the Emir of Bauchi Alhaji Dr Rilwanu Suleimanu Adamu.
Presenting the award to the emir in his palace over the weekend, president of the Association Alaramma Abdullahi Shua’ibu said they honoured the emir who is the grand patron of the association and his support to the reciters, memorizers of the Holy Qur’an and the people glorifying the name of Allah frequently.
Renown Islamic Scholar Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi who was represented by his Son Sayyadi Bashir Sheikh Dahiru commended the emir for his effort in maintaining peace and unity among his subjects.
The scholar who spoke about the importance of prayers as the best weapon of addressing crime and criminality like kidnappings, armed robbery, terrorism urged the emir not to relent in supporting the people of God whose activities is the secret of sustainable peace enjoin in the State.
He presented to the emir as gift of the Holy Qur’an rosary from Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi while the Association presented the award and certificate to the emir.
Responding, the Emir of Bauchi Dr Rilwanu Suleimanu Adamu thanked the clerics for the visit and dedicated the award to the renowned Islamic Scholar Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi and the people of his domain.
The emir said his hobbies includes; recitation of the Holy Qur’an, Glorifying the name of Allah seeking for his forgiveness and religious activities.
He admonished the people of the state to continue to intensify prayers for peace and stability.
