The House of Representatives, Tuesday asked the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba, to rescue the Treasurer of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ward 3, Oruk Anam Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, Enobong Williamson, from his abductors.
The House decision followed a motion of urgent public importance moved by Hon. Unyime Idem,representing Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency in Akwa Ibom on Tues at plenary.
The Lawmaker expressed concern and sadness over the incessant kidnappings going on across the country, most importantly and recently in Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency of Akwa Ibom State.
He said: “Unfortunately, the whole community was greeted with the sad news of the kidnapping and disappearance of Mr. Enobong Williamson who, until his disappearance, was the Treasurer, Peoples Democratic Party Ward 3, Oruk Anam LGA, Akwa Ibom State.
