Some Yobe communities expressed their happiness and commended Yobe state Governor, Mai Mala Buni for construction of access roads across various parts of the state.
The communities made the comments in separate interviews during an inspection tour organized by the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Yobe Council on Tuesday.
Malam Kakdu Kafayo, a resident of Tagali, Bade Local Government Area said the 10km Chumbusko – Tagali road had made life easier for them.
“Before the provision of the road, we could hardly transport our farm produce to various markets within and outside the state.
“Now we are happy to be connected to the other parts of the state.”
Malam Sama’ila Tagali, a motorist also commended the governor and appealed for new market with storage facilities for preservation and storage of their farm products.
Furthermore, the Village Head of Chukuriwa, Alhaji Muhammadu Chukuriwa, also commended Gov Buni for 16.5km Dawasa, Chukuriwa, Kukuri art road.
He said the road has linked several villages along the route with major town of Potiskum.
He also commended the governor and the Commissioner for Works, Alhaji Umar Wakil Duddaye for the construction of Jumaat Mosque in Chukuriwa.
