Residents in dire need of sensitization on health insurance benefits

Abuja residents may require more sensitization on benefits of health insurance scheme, to be translated to the local languages spoken in the communities, in order to have more enrollee into the scheme.
According to the Secretary, FCT Health and Human Services Secretariat (HHSS), Mallam Adamu Bappah, who made this observation, with increased sensitisation, more residents will benefit from the services of FCT Health Insurance Scheme (FHIS) in the Territory.
Bappah explained that more FCT residents are expected to benefit from health FHIS especially residents in the rural communities which are considered as the more demanding areas for health services.
He spoke recently while receiving brief from the FHIS, as part of the strategy to acquaint the him on the workings of all parastatals, departments and agencies under the Health Secretariat.
He therefore urged the Insurance Scheme manager, Dr. Ahmed Danfulani to ensure that workers in both public and private sectors enjoys the scheme in a more subsidized health services mode, as provided in the health insurance guide lines.
