Governments and security agencies in Nigeria have been called upon to respect the freedom of the press at all times.
This was contained in a press statement by the Executive Director, African Media Development Foundation, AMDF, Mr Iliya Kure and made available to the media in Kaduna yesterday.
Kure who commended journalists in Africa and other parts of the world said, “World Press Freedom Day, observed every 3rd May, is set aside by the United Nations to serve as a reminder to governments on the need to respect their commitment to Press Freedom.”
