• Calls Governor Adeleke’s inauguration victory for everybody
By Lateef Ibrahim, Abuja
Presidential candidate of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has declared that the task of returning Nigeria to the land of peace and prosperity requires all his supporters and party members to play their part by voting massively for the party in the next year’s general elections.
Atiku specifically charged his fans, supporters and PDP members to make sure that they vote for all the candidates of the PDP in the upcoming elections, from the presidential down to the state Houses of Assembly.
The former Vice President of Nigeria between 1999 and 2007, in his message to his supporters and fans on the social media yesterday, noted that when everybody joins hands to recover Nigeria, the victory shall be all.
Democracy, he pointed out, is a participatory concept, stressing that the mission of the recovery of the country starts from every polling unit and electoral constituencies across the country.
His words, “Democracy is a participatory concept and that is why I want to impress it again, that the mission of our recovery starts from every polling unit and electoral constituencies across the country.
“Thus, to ensure that we return Nigeria to land of peace and prosperity, it is important that you do your part by making sure that you vote for all the candidates of the PDP in the upcoming elections – from the presidential down to the state Houses of Assembly.
“When we join hands to recover Nigeria, the victory shall be for us all”, he stated
The presidential candidate of the PDP described yesterday’s inauguration of Senator Ademola Adeleke as the new Governor of Osun State as much more than a victory for the good people of Osun State.
According to him, the inauguration of Senator Ademola Adeleke as Governor is much more than a victory for the good people of Osun State.
“The Imole (light) that starts to shine from Osun from this day is a manifestation of recovery of the country from the darkness of bad governance and poor leadership”, he said.
