Renowned economist Bismarck Rewane and other leading experts are set to headline the 2026 Economic Summit organised by The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Lagos Province 20.

The summit, scheduled for March 21 at Christ the Lord Parish in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, will bring together policymakers, business leaders, investors, and entrepreneurs to discuss strategies for economic growth, wealth creation, and sustainable development amid Nigeria’s changing economic landscape.

The event, themed “Positioned for Advantage in a Shifting Economy,” will be open to both physical and virtual participants.
The host of the summit, Assistant Pastor in Charge of Region 11 and Pastor in Charge of Lagos Province 20, Tunde Netufo, said the church was committed to empowering people economically as part of its Christian social responsibility.

According to him, the initiative aims to promote economic literacy and informed dialogue to help individuals build resilience in navigating the country’s economic realities.

He explained that the summit also aligns with the church’s broader mission of contributing to national development and deepening public understanding of economic issues affecting citizens’ daily lives.

“The main reason we, as a church, have decided to organise this summit is to contribute to the ongoing economic discourse in the country and the overall well-being of the people,” Netufo said.
Rewane will deliver the keynote address, while panel discussions will focus on personal wealth creation, development of small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs), and the impact of taxation on individuals and businesses.

Speaking on personal wealth and financial empowerment is Sola Adesakin, founder of Smart Stewards Financial Advisory Limited and Smart Stewards Advisory LLC, who has over two decades of experience advising individuals and organisations on structured wealth-building strategies.

On the SME development panel is Chidi Okpaluba, a social entrepreneur with more than 20 years of experience in business development and non-governmental initiatives focused on youth empowerment and economic inclusion.

Providing expert insight on taxation will be Nike James, a partner at KPMG Nigeria with over 25 years of experience advising multinational and local financial services clients on tax risk management, mergers and acquisitions, cross-border transactions, restructuring and regulatory compliance.

Organisers noted that recent tax policies introduced by the Federal Government require individuals and businesses to deepen their understanding of taxation issues.
